Bad (or good) heroin kills at least 6 in one week
It's not often that the quality of the city's heroin makes the front page of the city's tabloids, but the Daily News and other papers report that the heroin that killed those two college girls is responsible for the at least 4 other deaths, most of them in the East Village and Soho.
Cops don't know whether the heroin is adulterated or just too pure, but either way, it's deadly.
In somewhat related news, cops busted a large heroin operation in the Bronx yesterday, netting $6 million worth of heroin, and a few members of the ring, one of whom tried to hide in a laundry dryer. According to Metro, the "brand names" of the heroin seized included Black Flag, Fully Loaded, Apple Martini, Cancer, Heart Attack, and HIV.
