WNBC Chopper Crashes in Flatbush
"A Channel 4 news helicopter crashed into a rooftop in Flatbush while covering a shooting in the Brooklyn neighborhood Tuesday."
I'm watching this on WNBC (channel 4) right now. The helicopter is in two pieces... the main body and the tail. There were three people on board, all survived.
Channel 4 is running images from the Channel 2 (CBS) helicopter.
I didn't know about this:
"In 1986, Jane Dornacker, a traffic reporter for WNBC radio in New York, was killed when her helicopter crashed into the Hudson River. The pilot was critically injured.
"As the chopper plunged toward a pier, listeners heard Dornacker scream at the pilot, 'Hit the water! Hit the water!'"
