"A 14-year-old girl and boy were hit by two cars that fled the scene last night in Fresh Meadows, police said."
I wonder if the cars were related in some way. In case you see them:
"As they were walking east on a Horace Harding service road, they were hit by a black or burgundy Ford and a tan Honda that were both traveling north on Francis Lewis Boulevard, police said. Witnesses told police the Ford had a damaged windshield and the Honda had front-end damage."
