(Not) Ready New York
Most New Yorkers are not prepared for emergencies
"Nearly 75 percent of New York City residents say they have not devised emergency preparedness plans for themselves, according to a survey by the American Red Cross in Greater New York."
*raises hand*
I don't have a Go Bag or an Emergency Supply Kit or any of the stuff mentioned at Ready New York and I really don't have a good reason why not.
"Asked about their reasons for not having a plan, 73 percent of residents and small-business leaders said they did not know how to develop one. Many also cited too little time and lack of funds, The New York Times reported Monday."
It's neither of those.
