Melissa Kennedy - Still Missing

I wrote about missing college student Melissa Kennedy before. Well, her uncle Gerard posted a link to a site her family has set up. Take a look:

Melissa Kennedy - Missing. From the "What We Know" page:

Melissa Kennedy, has been missing since Friday February 20th, 2004. Melissa, is a 21 yr old senior at Bard College, and was scheduled to come home to spend a weekend with her family from the evening of February 20th to February 22nd. She was last seen by a friend who dropped her off at the Poughkeepsie, NY train station of Metro-North at approximately 8:25pm. Her friend escorted her to the train, but it is unknown if the train departed with her on board. Poughkeepsie is a terminal station so the train will often sit at the station for some time before leaving. The train was scheduled to leave Poughkeepsie at 8:33pm and arrive at its destination, Grand Central Station, at 10:18pm. Form there Melissa would have taken NYC Subway home to Bay Ridge, and then would have walked only a few blocks to her house. This was something that Melissa did every-other week.

Detectives feel that the key to this is talking to people on the same train car as Melissa. If someone could come forward and let us know if she was in fact on the train when it pulled out of the Poughkeepsie station or if someone saw her get off the train somewhere along route it would be a great help in finding Melissa. We need to narrow our search for Melissa to a specific area and are unable to do so without this information. So far only a few leads have come in and none have been proven credible. Individuals with any information are asked to please call 1-800-577-TIPS or the Poughkeepsie Police at 845-451-4000.

There have been a ton of people coming to ScaryNY looking for information on Melissa. Please take a look at the site. Think if you know anyone who might have been on that train at the time. ScaryNY is something I started to keep my fingers occupied, and it's still pretty much just that. But this feel much more real.
