Man Loses Arm to 5 Train
"A New Jersey man was struck and run over by an uptown subway in a Lower Manhattan station Thursday, losing his arm but emerging alive from under the 40-ton car, police said."
Amazing.
"Pierre, whom a neighbor said commuted daily to New York, likely escaped death by landing in a deep trough in the roadbed -- the space located between the two rails."
Word is the space had a clearance of about 1 foot. I imagine this is the sort of thing you don't really strategize about. Instincts just kick in and it either works or doesn't.
