2 Hours vs. 20 min
So I either lost my wallet or had it stolen late Wednesday night. I'm not sure which. In order to get a new ID without paying any fees, you have to file a police report. That was a first for me. I headed to the midtown north precinct on 54th street. Signed a guestbook, sat down and waited for about an hour before someone helped me out. She gave me a form to complete and asked some questions. An hour after returning the form, the lady came back and gave me this piece of paper I could bring to the DMV. 2 hours.
Now, during that time, three "street vendors" were brought in wearing handcuffs with cops carrying their pirated goods. They got their finger prints take, pictures shot and everything else that goes along with getting arrested. They were each in and out (back on the street) in 20 minutes(!!!!!!). What the fu*k? Shouldn't that be the other way around?
