New York Press - ScaryNY Readers?
Does the New York Press read ScaryNY? In their crime blotter section, which I actually kind of like, they had this to say about the two people who died after carbon monoxide fumes filled their apartment.
"But we have to imagine there were chuckles aplenty around the 1010 WINS newsroom at the decision there to run with the accurate, but questionable, 'Silent But Deadly [headline].'"
Regular readers will remember this post of mine where I said, "Ok, I know the person who wrote this headline knows there's another use for the phrase "Silent But Deadly." Why didn't he/she just use, 'Whoever smelt it, dealt it.'"
Maybe we just think in similar ways.
