Missing Poster
"Police are investigating the possibility that Maria Cruz, the financial analyst missing since April, died in a Chelsea apartment during a laser removal procedure performed by a charlatan posing as a doctor."
I'm happy they found this woman. I work in Chelsea and the neighborhood was plastered with missing posters. I used to pass right by those sorts of things, but I think working on ScaryNY has changed that a bit. I definitely think about the situation more… the missing individual and their family, what might have happened, etc. I think the way missing posters essentially turned into memorials after September 11th changed the way I look at them, too.
