"Federal officials have discussed bringing in U.S. troops to boost security at this summer's Republican National Convention - but the NYPD doesn't think it needs them."
What exactly would they be doing? Beyond just standing around with guns, posing for pictures and giving directions to places they aren't familiar with. I'm sure there's a message on my machine at home from someone seeking my advice, but this is a terrible idea.
