Subway service restored after police
Subway service restored after police investigate suspicious package in the BX
"Service was halted on the Number 2, 4 and 5 lines Monday after someone called 911 about a suspicious package."
Turns out it was a box with a lot of tape on it.
In other subway news, I was waiting for the N/W this evening at 42nd street when I saw more puke on the platform than I've ever seen in my life. It looked like it was a rice dish of some sort, yellow in color with chopped veggies. I was trying to do the calculations while waiting for the train. It absolutely could not have come from one person. There was just too much of it, and it was spaced out farther than the average barfer can cover. I came to the conclusion that it was a class trip of some sort that went horribly wrong. Train service was not disrupted.
