6 Die In 10 Hours
"Six men were shot dead in a 10-hour span ending early yesterday, police said."
This comes via the National Incident Notification Network. What's that? "NINN provides Breaking News Stories in the Police, Fire and EMS Services, as they Happen, long before they're shown in the local newscast or in the newspaper." Basically, it's a network of people listening to their local police scanners. When they hear something, they let readers (and local media outlets) know about it. Kind of neat in a sick way, although, who am I to talk?
