National Guard Leaves Subways "Gun-toting
"Gun-toting National Guard soldiers who patrolled subways since the Sept. 11 attacks were quietly pared back in early July at the behest of the city Police Department, state officials said."
Not to be cynical or nothing, but this should do good things for overtime-collecting police officers.
