Night Out Celebrates Plunging Crime Rate
"The city's crime rate is much lower than it was when National Night Out Against Crime was created 20 years ago, but that didn't stop thousands of New Yorkers from coming out last night to learn about crime prevention."
Well as it turns out, New York's celebration of the National Night Out was nothing more than a chance for the city to go on and on about how low the crime rate is. And I was all excited and stuff.
No quotes from folks from this neighborhood or that celebrating their safe night out. Just Mike B patting himself on the back. It took two people from the Post to write this story.
