B'klyn mom killed by tree
"A towering tree felled by yesterday's lightning and howling winds struck and killed a 52-year-old woman walking with her daughter on a Brooklyn street."
A side note: "The rains hit the city helter-skelter, dumping 1.34 inches on Manhattan, only .88 of an inch at Kennedy Airport and a thumping 3.27 inches at LaGuardia Airport." It's amazing that there can be that much of a difference in such a short geographic area.
