Two items over at Gothamist related to scary New York things.
Crime Statistics -- basically some coverage on crime stats and how things aren't as rosy as city hall would like you to believe. UPDATE: Crime drop probed.
Subway Tiles Yanked -- the NY subway can kill you. I was in the 86th Street station recently and I can attest to their slipperiness.
